I have one son, Parker. He is a hilarious four years old. We live in Prairie Village and I grew up in Lee's Summit. While attending the University of Missouri-Kansas City, I lived in various areas around KC including Mission, Roeland Park, Brookside and Waldo. I have family and friends who live all around Kansas City, so I am very familiar with all parts of the metropolitan area.
My hobbies include spending time with my son and my family, working out, playing volleyball & softball, gardening, and cooking. I also love the beach, but I don't get there very often!
love to help people and in today's confusing and difficult market, home buyers and sellers need help understanding the market. So I like to use my marketing expertise, great negotiating skills and first time home buyer knowledge to help people get the most for their money, whether buying or selling. It's very challenging to have to tell someone that their "greatest investment" may not be worth what they thought. I try to focus on the bright side-the great deals on the homes that are for sale and the fact that the market will get better soon.
I have worked with many wonderful clients, most I would consider close friends now. I feel that I am helping people and not just selling houses. One of my most memorable clients was a single mom whose husband had passed away. At closing, she gave me a card that said "thank you for making me and my son's dream come true." WOW!
My best characteristic is my determination. In business and in my personal life, I find it opens a lot of doors! I am also energetic, personable, and focused on marketing and real estate trends.
I am inspired most by my family. My son is the light of my life. He helps me see what is most important.
One of the most inspiring things I ever heard was in the animated movie, Finding Nemo. Dori, a lost fish in many ways, says "just keep swimming." It may seem silly, but I find that if you just keep going sometimes even when you can't see the end of the tunnel, you will get there eventually, and you might just find you had a great adventure! So, personally, and in business, especially in these difficult economic times, I just keep swimming and try to enjoy the adventure!
